As a passionate impact photographer and cinematographer, I strive to capture the intricate stories of resilience, creativity, and human connection through my lens. With a diverse background in painting, art direction, and performing arts, I bring a unique artistic perspective to my photography, enhancing the depth and narrative quality of each image.
My journey has taken me across various roles in the visual arts, including documenting the thrilling action of the VOLVO OCEAN RACE and creating meaningful narratives for projects like DRAG BRUNCH, which celebrates the vibrancy of drag performers on Long Island, and BREW HOUSE, showcasing the craft brewers who enrich their communities. A significant project in my portfolio is WORKS, a docu-drama originally developed for HBO, which represents four years of intensive research. This project explores the stories of real people coping with addiction and life after prison, illustrating the development of relationships and the trust I built with my subjects throughout the process.
Currently, I am in pre-production for PILLARS OD MADNESS: A HISTORY OF AMERICAN PSYCHIATRY, a documentary film series that reflects my commitment to exploring significant social issues through powerful storytelling.
My goal is to collaborate with non-profit organizations and media houses that share a commitment to meaningful visual storytelling, producing work that resonates and inspires change. I prioritize context over spectacle and seek to establish long-term relationships with the individuals and communities I document, ensuring that their stories are conveyed with authenticity and respect.
I am dedicated to upholding journalistic standards and ethical practices in all my endeavors, believing that photography has the power not only to document but to advocate and foster understanding. Through my work, I invite viewers to engage with the diverse narratives of the human experience, sparking conversations that encourage empathy and a greater appreciation for the world around us.
As I continue to evolve as an artist, I am excited to explore new opportunities that allow me to bring impactful stories to light, enriching both my practice and the communities I serve.
